Review: Toledo Tapas, Steak, & Seafood at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort

Toledo Restaurant Disney World

When you hear the words “rooftop Disney World restaurant,” you probably think of California Grill atop Disney’s Contemporary Resort, or Topolino’s Terrace at Disney’s Riviera Resort. But there is a third that you need to experience if you have not already. Toledo Tapas, Steak & Seafood on the top floor of Gran Destino Tower at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort.

Once you step off the elevator on the sixteenth floor, it is like stepping into a restaurant designed by Gaudi himself with elegant, colorful arched ceilings. On the right side, you will find an outdoor terrace that offers views of Harmonious at EPCOT, as well as the fireworks for Wonderful World of Animation and Fantasmic! at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and in the center, you will find a wine case filled with delicious wines from Spain and California.

The food can be hit-or-miss, but in general, it is a spectacular taste of Spanish Tapas that fulfills the happy hour its neighbor Dahlia Lounge provides.

You’re going to want to get the Rioja-braised Chorizo and Charred Octopus to start, then follow that with the braised lamb shank as your main course. To drink, I recommend the Bodegas Barco de Piedra from the Ribera del Duero region. This is only available by the bottle, but this will be one of the best bottles of wine for the price that you can find on Walt Disney World Resort property.

Take dessert to go, along with your bottle of wine and take in the night air on the outside terrace of Dahlia’s Lounge.

If you want a romantic night out with quality Spanish flair, there is no better place to look. Having been to Spain several times, Disney’s Toledo is truly authentic and is a welcome retreat for someone who fell in love with the country some time ago.

Oh, and when Disney’s Coronado Springs is hosting corporate conventions, there is little to no better free entertainment than finishing that bottle of wine and watching corporate co-eds “network” on the open bar.

So, no, the food here is not perfect. Nor is the service, honestly. But in matters of experience and good wine, there is little that can beat this Walt Disney World Resort dining option.
