As usual, the release of a new Marvel movie teaser trailer has sparked several rumors as Marvel fans dissect the trailer for clues about its plot or characters who will be making appearances.
Spider-Man: No Way Home was cause for a fount of rumors this past December, with the biggest rumor being a wholeheartedly-denied plot point that did turn out to be true — and now, the recent release of a new trailer for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has Marvel fans discussing a new rumor about Deadpool’s appearance in the Marvel film!

Some Marvel fans claim that they can glimpse Deadpool in the trailer for the new Marvel movie. Actor Ryan Reynolds, who plays the sardonic character Deadpool (aka Wade Wilson), spoke to Variety recently while doing press for his new Netflix movie The Adam Project.
In the interview, Ryan Reynolds vehemently declared that “I’m really not in the movie…I’m promising, I’m not in the movie”.

However, Spider-Man actor Tom Holland lied directly to journalists about whether or not previous Spider-Man actors Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire would be alongside him in the Marvel Studios movie Spider-Man: No Way Home, and that was true.
Kit Harington also denied any knowledge of One Direction singer Harry Styles appearing in Eternals last year, only to later have his lie revealed both when the movie premiered and when a photo of him with Harry was posted by Gemma Chan.
Marvel is known for keeping its actors on a tight leash when it comes to releasing spoilers, and watching the Marvel actors try to maneuver a delicate balance between boring interviews and secretive plotlines has become a mainstay in any Marvel press tour.
Yes, Ryan Reynolds says he isn’t in this new Doctor Strange movie — but it also seems plausible that he gave himself a loophole, referring to himself instead of Deadpool when he said that.
With Marvel’s track record for secret-keeping, it’s no surprise that Marvel fans are refusing to believe the actor’s claim, and audiences haven’t been shy about sharing their disbelief via Twitter!

Do you think that Ryan Reynolds is telling the truth about Deadpool and Doctor Strange, or do you think that this Marvel rumor will become a reality in the Marvel Cinematic Universe just like the appearance of Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire was in Spider-Man: No Way Home?
And while we’re discussing surprise character appearances in this new Doctor Strange film, what do you think about this rumor that Tom Cruise is becoming the new Iron Man?
