If you’re planning a trip to Disney World in 2025, you might want to brace yourself for a wave of closures.
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Test Track are already on the refurbishment list, and now another beloved location is shutting down for an extended period. Hurricane Hanna’s Waterside Bar & Grill at Disney’s Beach Club Resort will be closed for six months, adding to the growing list of unavailable experiences.
Hurricane Hanna’s, known for its breezy atmosphere and delicious drinks, will remain closed from January through June 2025. This coincides with the refurbishment of Stormalong Bay and the Shipwreck Pool at the Yacht and Beach Club Resorts, which are also undergoing routine maintenance. While these upgrades are necessary to keep things running smoothly, it’s still a letdown for guests hoping to grab a drink and enjoy the iconic poolside view.
For those unfamiliar with Hurricane Hanna’s, it’s a quick-service spot that offers a variety of refreshing cocktails, draft beers, and light bites. Whether you’re lounging by the pool or just stopping by for a snack, it’s been a go-to location for many Disney resort guests. Its temporary closure means guests will have to seek alternatives, and while there are other options, none quite capture the same waterside charm.
The good news? Beach Club Resort guests will still have access to other swimming options, such as the Tidal and Dune Coves pools, as well as the Admiral Pool at the Yacht Club. Dining-wise, Beaches & Cream Soda Shop remains open, but guests should be prepared for potential construction noise during the day.
With so many closures happening at Disney World in 2025, it’s crucial for guests to stay informed and plan ahead. Checking refurbishment schedules and planning around unavailable attractions can help avoid disappointment. Sometimes closures finish earlier than expected, so it’s always worth keeping an eye on updates.
While it’s not the most exciting news for Disney visitors, the hope is that these refurbishments will lead to better experiences in the future. Until then, guests will need to be flexible and explore other dining and recreation options throughout the resort.
