There are many classic Disney roller coasters that Disney Guests consider to be staples, including Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and Expedition Everest: Legend of the Forbidden Mountain. One major Disney ride that many fans love and return to year after year on their Disney vacations is Space Mountain, and Space Mountain has just gotten a fun new upgrade!
Space Mountain is a fast-paced roller coaster that brings Disney Guests on an intergalactic adventure. The roller coaster is best known for its location in Walt Disney World Resort, but it has become so popular that four other Disney Park locations have the ride: Disneyland, Tokyo Disneyland, Disneyland Paris, and Hong Kong Disney.
This Disney roller coaster might seem exciting, but unsurprising, since so many Disney Guests are so familiar with it — but now, Space Mountain has more to offer than it has in the past! Apparently, a little snack shop has been placed inside the attraction for hungry Guests!
So funny seeing a snack stand mid-queue for Space Mountain 😆 pic.twitter.com/v9KS8DBXEl

“So funny seeing a snack stand mid-queue for Space Mountain,” the Tweet above (from @Sammyland6) says. Now, Guests waiting in line to ride the Space Mountain roller coaster can purchase snacks like popcorn or candy, as well as drinks!
A similar kiosk has been spotted on the Na’vi River Journey in Walt Disney World Resort’s Animal Kingdom, so this little mid-queue snack option is not the first of its kind!
For some reason, Disney did not share this news openly or advertise it to prospective Space Mountain Guests. A snack kiosk like this one may have been installed in an effort to help keep Guests happy during long wait times, which are now a common thing in Disney Parks despite services like Genie+ and Lightning Lanes that are supposed to help Guests just like the old FastPass service did.
Seeing a fun and convenient addition to a Walt Disney World Resort ride is a pleasant surprise these days, since the Walt Disney Company has received so much negative press lately and so many negative stories have come out of the Disney Parks in recent months (especially in regards to bad Guest behavior). Are you excited for some in-ride snacks?
