We recently learned that Walt Disney World Resort Guests who head to the EPCOT theme park for dinner might find a hibachi meal in the Japan Pavilion to be “disappointing” — but if you move a few countries over, you might be pleasantly surprised in Morocco!

The restaurant called Spice Road Table, in the Morocco Pavilion within the EPCOT World Showcase, offers Mediterranean cuisine to its customers.

Casey Clark — the same Disney Adult who uprooted her life and moved closer to Walt Disney World Resort for the sake of her mental and physical health — was the writer who headed to the EPCOT version of Morocco to review the restaurant.

We have seen many complaints coming from Disney World and Disneyland Resort Guests lately when it comes to their dining experiences (particularly since portions seem to be decreasing just as Disney prices seem to be rising), but apparently, Disney has been pulling out all the stops for its customers in Spice Road Table!

Casey Clark wrote in her review on Insider that she “thoroughly enjoyed the meal” and found the restaurant to be “one of the most peaceful atmospheres in EPCOT”. Since many Disney Guests find the Disney Parks to be more and more overcrowded and noisy these days, a “peaceful” place is in high demand!

Unlike Teppan Edo in the Japan Pavilion within the World Showcase, which (according to this travel writer) distinctly lacked any kind of Disney details or themes, Spice Road Table had “theming” that “was exquisite” with “vibrant tapestries, rounded arches, intricate engravings, and Moroccan-inspired trinkets on the walls”.

“The restaurant’s Moroccan-inspired decor and ambiance added to the overall experience of our meal,” Clark declared.

The Spice Road Table menu offerings included hummus fries, tiropitakia, pomegranate-chili crispy cauliflower, naan spreads, and spiced chicken.

Clark’s meal (with tip) cost $64 for her and her companion, but Clark concluded that “for Disney…the prices were reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food” (with a particular standout being tiropitakia, the “cheese-filled pastry”).

With so many Disney-related complaints making headlines these days, Disney Park foodies will be pleased to see a positive review from a Disney World Guest! Have you tried Spice Road Table?
