Since leaving the White House in 2020, adviser to former President Donald Trump, Stephen Miller, has been on a crusade to rid the country of DEI programs and race-based hiring practices. Miller and the law firm he founded, America First Legal, have sued Target over its pride campaign, M&M’s over its race-based hiring practices, and NYU for its alleged discrimination against white men.

Now, Miller and America First Legal have turned their attention to the Walt Disney Company after an alleged document from the company showing Disney’s inclusion standards was leaked. The document shows the “underrepresented groups” ratio that must be included in Disney’s films, creative leadership, and behind-the-scenes roles.
American First Legal has filed a lawsuit with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission alleging that the Walt Disney Company violated Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which bans employment discrimination by prohibiting companies from using race, color, religion, sex, or national origin merely as motivating factors for hiring, training, or promotions.
These immutable characteristics are often the only motivating factors in Disney’s hiring, training, and promotion decisions. The company is intentionally discriminating against white American men, Christians, and Jews simply because of their race, sex, religion, and citizenship.
Elon Musk originally leaked the document that Stephen Miller and America First Legal are using on X (formerly Twitter). Musk released the documents shortly after X and Gina Carano announced they were suing Disney over Carano’s firing from the Star Wars show The Mandalorian.

After taking over Twitter (now X) last year, Elon Musk pledged that he would support any users who were being harassed or faced discrimination for what they have said on the social media platform. Musk said that he would go after any company and would pay any price to fight what he perceives as discrimination. Carano’s case is the first time Musk has spent money defending someone fired over something they said on X.
Disney Under Fire
Besides its lawsuit against the Walt Disney Company, Stephen Miller and America First Legal have also put out a call for any “white, heterosexual men” who have been “victims” of Disney’s diversity programs. The America First Legal Foundation took to X looking for anyone who was “the victim of Disney’s diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs.”

In a separate tweet, it seeks anyone who did not receive an apprenticeship or promotion due to Disney’s affirmative action programs or DEI initiatives. American First Legal is asking anyone affected to contact them, presumably to mount another lawsuit against the Walt Disney Company.
Since the Supreme Court overturned the use of race in college admissions, law firms like American First Legal have focused their attention on DEI initiatives and affirmative action programs.
Besides Disney, AFL has also sued the NFL over its Rooney Rule, which requires teams to interview at least one minority candidate for any head coach opening.

For the Walt Disney Company and Disney CEO Bob Iger, it does not appear that this is going away anytime soon.
