Have You Ever Seen Stitch’s “Bones?”

Stitch, also known as “Experiment 626,” is one of Disney’s iconic characters. Known for his mischievous tendencies and out-of-this-world anatomy, the alien quickly became one of Disney’s most beloved characters. So…why are scary pictures of Stitch bones making the rounds on the internet?

The Walt Disney World Resort is known to be “The Most Magical Place on Earth.” Each theme park at the Disney Resort— like Disney’s Hollywood Studios or Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park—is an immersive environment for guests to take in the Disney experience and feel the Disney magic during their Disney vacation.

One of the best parts about being a Disney Fanatic is having insight into the smaller details that make the Disney experience what it is. But sometimes, learning those details can also be a little disconcerting.

We, as Disney fans, are used to photos and videos of Disney rides or attractions making the rounds and resurfacing on the internet. For example, the unfortunate interruption of one guest’s proposal by a Disney cast member made headlines when it happened and then resurfaced a fair few times after.

Some events and sights just leave an impression. Here’s one other such visual: the beloved character Stitch’s “bones.”

The Infamous Scary Stitch Ride, Stitch’s Great Escape

At one time, as many Disney fans know, there was a Stitch-themed ride in Magic Kingdom Park’s Tomorrowland. The experience was a theatrical-style ride where guests would sit in a circular theater that could accommodate up to 162 guests at a time.

The ride featured a pre-show where guests were briefed on their mission to transport a dangerous experiment, Stitch, to a high-security space prison. It was a retheming of the alien ride that many Disney fans are well versed with.

The ride was taken out in 2018 to make way for a new attraction, but recently, a photo from when they took the ride out resurfaced online.

As you can see the photo of “Stitch’s bones” from when they took out the ride made quite the impression, enough that it recently resurfaced on a different post.

Of course, while some might find the image startling, most fans simply recalled the rather strong and unsavory experience the ride provided. One shared, “That ride was crazy, stitch burps hotdog smell into your face, put me off hotdogs for the rest of my holiday.”

Another agreed, “that smell was one of the worst things I have ever smelled. I am still shuddering thinking about it.”

It’s certainly not a ride that anyone misses though it’s predecessor, the Alien Encounter—Disney’s scariest ride—is one many in the comments remembered with much more fondness.
