Summer Nights Shine at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon with H2O Glow 2025

Summer at Walt Disney World is about to get a whole lot brighter—literally. Disney’s H2O Glow After Hours is officially returning to Typhoon Lagoon starting May 23, 2025, and fans can get ready for the longest season of glow nights yet.

Running on select nights through September 13, this late-night water park event is one of Disney’s most unique after-hours offerings. It transforms Typhoon Lagoon into a glowing, neon-lit beach party complete with music, snacks, and lower wait times on all your favorite slides.

The announcement comes just as Blizzard Beach prepares to close for the season. After celebrating its 30th anniversary with special events like DJ dance zones, snowman bowling, and character appearances in winter outfits, the frosty-themed park will close at the end of the day on April 30. One day later, Typhoon Lagoon will reopen, and soon after, the nighttime party begins.

So what makes H2O Glow After Hours so popular? It’s more than just a chance to enjoy the water park without the blazing midday sun. These after-hours events offer a much more laid-back and crowd-free experience. Guests get access to most of Typhoon Lagoon’s attractions with minimal waits, plus unlimited popcorn, Mickey bars, and select beverages—all included with admission.

The event is hosted by Partysaurus Rex (yep, the inflatable Toy Story version of Rex), and the atmosphere is just as fun as it sounds. Think colorful lighting effects, pumping DJ music, and surprise character meet-and-greets throughout the park. If you’re a fan of nighttime Disney magic, this one is hard to beat.

And this year, Disney is upping its food game with some new themed menu items. You’ll find Chicken & Mickey Waffle Sliders at Leaning Palms and the Glow-versized Loaded Baked Potato at Typhoon Tilly’s. A full list of food and beverage offerings will be revealed closer to the start of the season.

As for tickets, Disney Resort hotel guests will get early access beginning April 1, while the general public can purchase tickets starting April 4. Adults can expect to pay $85, while kids ages 3-9 can join the fun for just $42.50—exactly half the adult price. Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club members will also be able to save with discounted pricing.

It’s worth noting that Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach continue to operate on an alternating schedule, as has been the case in recent years. Disney hasn’t run both parks simultaneously since the pandemic. While fans would love to see both water parks open at once, the alternating strategy has allowed Disney to focus resources and offer seasonal events like H2O Glow After Hours.

If you’re planning a summer trip to Walt Disney World and want to add something unique to your itinerary, this event is a fun way to cool off and enjoy the parks in a totally different atmosphere. Whether you’re floating through Castaway Creek or dancing poolside with a Mickey ice cream in hand, it’s a vibe that’s hard to match.

So mark your calendars—May 23 through September 13 is your window to experience this glowing Disney bash. With fewer crowds, tasty treats, and water park thrills after dark, H2O Glow After Hours is ready to light up summer in all the right ways.
