In 1955, Walt Disney made his dreams come true when he opened the gates to Disneyland Park. In the nearly 70 years since its opening, Disneyland Resort has expanded and now includes Disneyland, Disney California Adventure Park, and the Downtown Disney District. There are more than 60 rides and attractions for Guests to enjoy, along with incredible shopping and dining. In fact, Disneyland Park has more rides and attractions than any other Disney Park! It truly is the happiest place on Earth, and for good reason.

For more than 60 years, Disneyland Resort has been welcoming graduating high school seniors from around Southern California to visit the Parks for a special after-hours event. Grad Nite features specialty food and drinks, as well as dance parties, and more. Seniors can also ride nearly every attraction in the Park. It’s something that seniors look forward to every year.

Unfortunately, while seniors love being able to visit the Parks with their friends and celebrate their high school graduation, regular Park Guests have come to loathe those nights. Grad Nite events do not start until 9 p.m., but, depending on what tickets the school purchases, teenagers can get into the Parks earlier than that. And, even though the party takes place in Disney California Adventure Park, there are certain Grad Nite tickets that will let teens visit Disneyland Park earlier in the day.

Over the past several years, many Guests have complained about the behavior of some of these teens while they are visiting. Some of the teens take the chance to act inappropriately, since they are not under the constant supervision of their parents or a chaperone. TikToker Julia (@fantasmicvillain) recently visited Disneyland and saw some teens being approached by Disneyland security as they exited the popular attraction, Pirates of the Caribbean.

Julia says that a Cast Member informed her that the teens were throwing things at other Guests. They were also standing on the boats and attempting to jump from one boat to another.

Commenters were sadly not surprised that teenagers were acting this way. Some pointed out that Disney canceled Grad Nites at Walt Disney World Resort because of the unruly groups. Others said that they think the teens should be banned, along with their school not being allowed to attend for a certain amount of time. Grad Nite students MUST attend with a school.

This is not the first time that someone has called out Grad Nite behavior. Recently, a Guest complained that teens were constantly cutting the lines in the Park and the Cast Members were not stopping them. Grad Nite has even been deemed the worst time to visit Disneyland and California Adventure.
