The 10 Experiences You Should Have at Hollywood Studios Before Lunch

Hollywood Studios

Visiting Hollywood Studios allows guests to escape into the movies. But, there is so much for guests to see and do and a lot of the experiences can be tackled before lunchtime! Here is our list of the ten experiences you should have at Hollywood Studios before lunch!

10 – Breakfast at Hollywood and Vine – we love visiting Hollywood Studios in the morning because we can grab breakfast at Hollywood and Vine. We love the menu here since it includes traditional Disney breakfast favorites, as well as some other special items. Younger guests will also love it because they can meet their favorites from different Disney Junior cartoons!

9 – Sign-Up for the Jedi Training Academy – young Padowans may want to arrive at the park early and make it a point to head to the Jedi Training Academy. This experience is for children agreed 3-11 and can be very popular, so if you are looking for a spot or want to control what show you’ll be in, make sure to get to the park early and prioritize your sign-up for this amazing experience!

8 – Ride Toy Story Midway Mania – one of the most popular attractions in Hollywood Studios, Toy Story Midway Mania allows guest to participate in interactive carnival games – we always head to this attraction first thing in the morning because wait times for this attraction can reach into the high double digits or even triple digits later in the day!

7 – Ride the Un-FastPassed Attraction – Hollywood Studios operates on a tiered system to select FastPasses, so guests need to make a selection for their top choice between the most popular attractions. We usually choose Toy Story Midway Mania and head right towards the end of Sunset Boulevard to ride Rock ‘N Roller Coaster at rope drop. Using this tip, we have been able to ride the coaster a few times before wait times exceeded 10 or 15 minutes and we head somewhere else!

6 – Tackle Star Tours – Star Tours usually has a consistent wait time of about 20 minutes throughout the day because the ride has a high occupancy and it is located on the less-traveled side of the park. We like checking the line out when we are in the area and making the decision as to whether to jump on or not.

5 – Relax on the Great Movie Ride – located at the end of Hollywood Boulevard, the Great Movie Ride takes guests on a journey through some of their favorite scenes from classic cinema. We always enjoy grabbing a ride on it because it is slow and relaxing. Certain members of our family love it because of the pretzel card that is found at the exit of the ride!

4 – Character Meet and Greet – we love interacting with different characters when we visit Hollywood Studios and there are always a lot to see – Buzz and Woody, the Green Army Men, various characters from Disney Junior, and even Baymax. Be sure to consult a Times Guide to see who is greeting that day and to see where and when they are doing so.

3 – Shop Along Hollywood Boulevard – some of our favorite souvenirs come from the stores that line your entrance to the park along Hollywood Boulevard. You can find toys, t-shirts, park merchandise, movies, and even non-traditional, fancier souvenirs at this stores. Be sure to check them out, even quickly so you can see if there is anything that you want to add to your collection!

2 – Check Out Indiana Jones – we love watching the Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular when we visit Hollywood Studios. During the busier times of the year, there can be five or six showings of the show, but during slower times of the year, maybe only three. Much like meeting characters, be sure to check the Times Guide to see when the show is being offered!
