An unfortunate fan shared their tattoo, inspired by Tinker Bell, only to be roasted by fellow Disney fans for the “terrible” quality.

To be able to demonstrate one’s love for Disney is one of the great joys of being a part of the Disney fandom and community.

In the past, fans have done this in a variety of ways, but one that has proved most popular is getting a Disney-inspired tattoo. Even Disney stars, Disney Legends, and celebrities have celebrated their love for Disney in this way (Jordan Fisher, for example).

Tinker Bell Tattoo Gone Wrong…

But sometimes tattoo ideas can go horribly wrong, as in the case of Reddit user and Disney fan, Zaerryth, who shared a Peter Pan-inspired tattoo of Tinker Bell. The tattoo depicted has close to no similarity to the beloved fairy from the Disney movies.

The tattoo depicts her sitting cross-legged with a cigarette in one hand and a drink in another, looking outwards. One of Tinker Bell’s eyes is partially outside of her head. This Tinker Bell also has a pierced wing.

Fellow fans were not keen on the interpretation of J.M. Barrie’s character and expressed this. Many also shared that the tattoo artist’s execution was pretty terrible, too.

As one commenter described it, “I f****** cant with the [eye outside] the head lol.”

And a liiittle bit of pixie dust…

Others agreed with the sentiment expressed in the user’s comment. One commented, “That’s not Tinkerbell, That’s her sister stinkerbell. and that’s not fairy dust, it’s Angel dust.”

Another shared, “Now THIS is white trash.”

Another user took a humorous approach to their comment, “Having a piercing on a wing must be so annoying while flying but what do I know? I’m not a fairy 😆.”

While this tattoo is undoubtedly not one of the best tattoos we’ve seen, it’s also not the first time we’ve seen a tattoo that hasn’t quite hit the spot for Disney fans.

Last year, a man was called out online for sporting a “prohibited” tattoo out in public at the Disneyland Resort of an inappropriate subject. As fans know, both the Walt Disney World Resort and the Disneyland Resort are incredibly strict about their dress code to maintain a family-friendly atmosphere at the Disney Parks.

While celebrating the characters we know and love in this way is always a lovely gesture, it’s unfortunate when something as permanent as a tattoo goes wrong. Here’s hoping that the OP liked their own ink, even if others didn’t quite understand the appeal!
