Treehouse Reaction: Another Winner is Coming to a Disney Park!

Disneyland Treehouse

On Thursday, November 10, Disney Parks unveiled a look at the new and improved design for the treehouse in Disneyland Park’s Adventureland, and I and delightfully surprised.

The attraction is described as the following:

“Paying tribute to the original treehouse that Walt Disney and his Imagineers built in 1962 for the hit movie, “Swiss Family Robinson,” the Adventureland Treehouse inspired by Walt Disney’s Swiss Family Robinson will return in a fresh, new way at Disneyland park in 2023.

The Adventureland Treehouse will showcase wonderous new environments created amongst the branches of a giant tree on the shores of the Jungle River, where guests will once again enter by the giant waterwheel and follow the wood rope stairways up, up, up into the boughs.”

This emerges after rumors and speculation circulated about it possibly becoming a new Encanto-Themed attraction (possibly even Casita herself) or even an attraction dedicated to the Society of Explorers and Adventurers (S.E.A.). But the revivalism is a nice touch and offers something rather original than just a quick addition based on a recent movie. The design is intricate, fun, and honestly beautiful to look at.

While it may become just a modernized recreation of the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse in Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World Resort, the idea that it is a tribute to the Walt Disney Imagineers makes me automatically equate this to something more like Tiffin’s Restaurant and the Nomad Lounge at Disney’s Animal Kingdom a sentimental hybrid of originality and old favorites that brings new, exciting energy to its Theme Park.

It appears that Disney is getting on a winning streak as the warm reception to this announcement follows the celebratory return of the new and improved Fantasmic! show at Walt Disney World Resort earlier this month. I can’t wait to experience this new attraction for myself.

In the meantime, we at Disney Fanatic will continue to update our readers on Disney Parks news and stories as more developments come to light.
