If you love getting wet and groovy in Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, and you love exclusive Walt Disney World Resort events that allow Disney Guests to experience some special treats, then you’re going to want to hear this news!

Disney has just announced plans to not only bring Typhoon Lagoon back into action in the spring — which is coming sooner than you think — but also to let Typhoon Lagoon join the highly-in-demand After Hours party!

EPCOT is also joining in with the Disney After Hours event, which is big news all on its own, but Typhoon Lagoon has its own special version of the event called H2O Glow After Hours.

This event starts at 6 p.m. and allows the Disney water park visitors to sport neon colors and enjoy some bright tropical locations (with, of course, some “specially themed” foods or beverages that tie into the event’s theme).

As the Disney Parks Blog has put it, “grab your neon swimwear and get ready for some glowing tropical fun!”

Guests can expect chances to ride on the water park slides and rides (not to mention swim in the pools or wave pools) under the cover of darkness (mixed with starlight and some neon decorations), but they can also expect a fun dance event hosted by a DJ!

Wait times will also most likely be shorter, since there will only be a small group of Disney Guests admitted after 6 p.m.

H2O Glow After Hours is apparently “yet another new experience added to [the] Disney After Hours portfolio”, and it will be up and running in Typhoon Lagoon on May 20 at Typhoon Lagoon (and will last until September 2).

EPCOT will be joining the party in June, and the Magic Kingdom Park will have a head start as of March 27. Disney’s Hollywood Studios is already partying After Hours, but its calendar will open up for even more After Hours fun on May 3! You can start to buy tickets for all of these events (save the Magic Kingdom event) on March 3.

Prices for the After Hours events can cost as little as $75 or as much as $149 (with the addition of tax). If you’re attending certain Walt Disney World Resorts (i.e. “Disney Resort hotels and Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels, as well as Shades of Green at Walt Disney World Resort“), you’ll be able to buy EPCOT and Typhoon Lagoon After Hours tickets as of February 28.

Disney Vacation Club members and Walt Disney World Resort Annual Passholders will also receive some special perks in the form of chances to buy tickets at a different price for certain days of the events.

Are you excited to explore Typhoon Lagoon after the water park is closed to everyone else?
