Universal Orlando Resort just upped the ante on one of the season's most talked-about events. Volcano Bay Nights, the after-hours beach bash at the resort's water park, just got more dates added to its already packed 2026 lineup, giving guests more chances to catch the party before summer winds down.
For anyone who hasn't experienced it yet, Volcano Bay Nights is a separately ticketed event that transforms Universal's water park into a completely different kind of destination once the sun sets. Ticket holders get exclusive access to the park and its attractions from 7 to 11 p.m., with shorter wait times across the board thanks to limited capacity. It is, in every sense, a different park than the one guests visit during the day.
More Nights, More Chances to Get In
When this event was first confirmed for 2026 back in March, the schedule ran from May through August with a handful of dates each month. Now that summer is in full swing, Universal has tacked on a wave of additional nights, pushing the full lineup through August 21.
That expansion matters for a simple reason. Limited capacity events like this one tend to draw heavy demand, and more available dates means more flexibility for guests trying to build a trip around it, especially anyone hoping to avoid weekends when ticket competition tends to be fiercest.
What's Actually Included
Tickets remain priced at $99 per person, plus tax, matching last year's cost despite the event's growing popularity. That admission includes access to the park during event hours, a Beach Bash at Waturi Beach featuring a live DJ and games, and DreamWorks character meet-and-greets with favorites from Shrek and Madagascar. The event welcomes guests ages 3 and up, making it one of the more accessible nighttime experiences in Orlando for families.
Every ticket also comes with a complimentary Coca-Cola Freestyle souvenir cup, good for refills throughout the night, along with specialty themed island treats included at no extra cost. Additional themed food and beverage items are available for purchase for guests who want to go all in on the experience.
For guests 21 and older, themed alcoholic beverages are also available, provided a valid photo I.D. is presented at purchase.
Preferred Passholders can shave 10 percent off ticket prices, while Premier Passholders get 15 percent off, along with extra discounts on food, non-alcoholic drinks, and merchandise during the event itself.
Why Guests Keep Coming Back for More
Volcano Bay has built a serious following since opening in 2017, and much of that comes down to how the park handles crowd control. The TapuTapu wearable system lets guests reserve ride times virtually, reducing the standing-in-line problem that plagues most water parks. Marquee attractions like the Krakatau Aqua Coaster, Ko'okiri Body Plunge, and TeAwa the Fearless River are already major draws during the day, but at night, with the lit-up volcano centerpiece and noticeably thinner crowds, the entire park takes on a different personality.
Bottom Line for Anyone Planning a Universal Trip
With more dates added and tickets already moving, this is shaping up to be one of the most in-demand summer events at Universal Orlando Resort. Guests with a specific night in mind, especially weekends, should lock in tickets sooner rather than later, since limited-capacity events like this one have a track record of selling out faster than expected.
