One of the longest-running attractions at Universal Orlando Resort is quickly approaching its final performance.
Universal Studios Florida will permanently close Animal Actors On Location! after performances on November 2, 2026. Starting November 3, the live show will officially become part of Universal Orlando history.
For longtime Universal fans, this isn't the departure of a relatively new addition. Animal Actors can trace its history all the way back to Universal Studios Florida's opening day on June 7, 1990.
That gives the attraction a 36-year history at the park. Now, guests have only weeks left to experience it, and the actual number of opportunities could be more limited than the closing date suggests.
Animal Actors On Location! Is Closing Forever
Animal Actors On Location! has changed over the decades, but animals performing tricks, comedy routines, and movie-inspired stunts have remained at the center of the experience.
Universal has confirmed that November 2 will mark the end.
The company said the attraction will close to “make way for a new experience,” but it hasn't announced exactly what will replace it.
That leaves the future of the theater near Springfield, U.S.A. uncertain for now.
What isn't uncertain is the deadline for guests who want one final visit.

Guests May Have Fewer Chances Than Expected
The calendar might make it appear that fans have plenty of time remaining, but the attraction's operating schedule makes things more complicated.
Animal Actors On Location! doesn't operate continuously throughout the day. Guests have to attend one of its scheduled performances, and the show typically ends well before Universal Studios Florida closes.
Halloween Horror Nights creates another wrinkle.
Universal Studios Florida closes at 5 p.m. on Halloween Horror Nights dates before transitioning into the separately ticketed event. That shortened daytime schedule can sometimes mean one fewer Animal Actors performance.
Halloween Horror Nights runs on select dates through November 1, putting nearly the entire final stretch of Animal Actors inside Universal's busy Halloween season.
Guests hoping to say goodbye should check showtimes before arriving rather than expecting a late performance.
There's also no indication that Universal plans to expand showtimes as the closure approaches, including on non-Halloween Horror Nights dates.
Another Original Universal Attraction Is Disappearing
The closure carries extra significance because Animal Actors has been around since the beginning.
Universal Studios Florida has changed dramatically since 1990, with numerous original attractions disappearing as newer experiences replaced them.
Animal Actors managed to survive for 36 years.
Now, its time is nearly up.
Universal hasn't announced when its mysterious replacement will debut or even what type of experience is coming.
For now, fans have a much more immediate deadline.
