Kilimanjaro Safaris at Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park is arguably the closest someone can get to experiencing a real-life African safari without having to go to Africa, and that is all due to the landscape Walt Disney Imagineering was able to make for its truly wild inhabitants.
While the combination makes for an extremely authentic theme park ride, it also means that there is a chance that guests will see the wild animals acting like…well…wild animals.
Residing in nearly borderless enclosures, all of the residents of Kilimanjaro Safaris live within their own species communities, which means throughout the day, guests have a chance to see them play together, spar together, eat together, and also get intimate together.
In this case, a few guests were driving past the lion enclosure when two of the lions decided to make an effort to increase their population. The safari driver caught what was about to get started and took some evasive action. One guest onboard caught a video of the incident and shared it with TikTok.

This is not the first time that Disney’s animals asked the theme park guests, “Can you feel the love tonight?” and it probably won’t be the last.
Around this time two years ago, we reported the sighting of two of the Nile crocodiles also getting in the mood. Would-be guests should be aware that every single experience on board Kilimanjaro Safaris is different as the animals are unpredictable, and their level of activity can vary based on a variety of factors such as time of day.
While visiting Animal Kingdom’s Kilimanjaro Safaris, guests can see African animals such as hippos, elephants, zebras, giraffes, and more!
