Finding the best spot to watch the in or at the can sometimes be a challenge for Guests, requiring them to arrive early and claim a spot long before the show starts, especially during the busier times of the year. And, regardless of how early you arrive for the , they are standing room only so if you do sit down you will eventually be asked to stand before the lights go down.
Recently a video shared to TikTok by user @the_hamilyfamily showed a couple of Guests at who attempted to use chairs from either Casey’s Corner, the Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor, or another small seating area nearby to claim a spot on , and presumably have a relaxing spot to sit at during the over .

As you can see in the video, a Cast Member quickly noticed the two Guests sitting on Main Street and asked them to move along, putting the chairs back at the restaurant. While regular visitors to the parks know that chairs cannot be moved or put onto Main Street like this, it is understandable that some Guests may not be aware of these kinds of rules, and thankfully it appears the Guests in the video were polite about the situation to the Cast Member.
At local events with fireworks, many people do often sit down to watch whether it be on their own chairs or others nearby, or on a picnic blanket on the ground, so while the rule of standing room only is in place for everyone’s safety, it is understandable why some Guests might not be aware of it.
In Tokyo Disneyland, it is actually customary to sit down during parades and fireworks, whether it is simply due to there being more space in the park or simply the fact that if everyone is sitting there is no way to trip because you would also be sitting, it is an interesting observation to note that sitting down has worked in some Disney park instances, just not at Disneyland or the Magic Kingdom.
Recent shows, like at the , or at included projection mapping elements that run down U.S.A. and help to offer great views from more areas, so we are hopeful you will be able to find a spot to watch the from, even if you arrive last-minute.
