6. Satu’li Canteen
Along with the recent opening of Pandora World of AVATAR at Disney’s Animal Kingdom comes a delicious new dining venture—Satu’li Canteen. Set in the heart of all the action of this new land, Satu’li Canteen faithfully follows the Avatar depictions in both décor and backstory. Diners will be made aware that the restaurant in which they are eating once served as a mess hall for the Resource Development Administration (RDA), “the largest single non-governmental organization in human space.” But now the site is owned and operated by Alpha Centauri Expedition (ACE), and their goal is to provide visitors with fresh, bountiful offerings prepared using Pandora’s natural and healthful abundance. And their lush menu speaks volumes about their success with delicious variations that are out of this world, like sustainable fish options, a number of vegetarian selections, lean meats, and many other features. Available during the evening after 5 p.m. there’s even a special sharable Satu’li Sampler Platter, which includes a choice of four proteins with a sampling of house bases and sauces to go along, vegetable slaw, and four non-specialty beverages. And yes, Satu’li Canteen does offer many unique beverage concoctions, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.
The overall stunning décor within the walls of this establishment conveys the very essence of Na’vi art, culture, and tradition, as presented in the film. Being a casual eatery pick makes Satu’li Canteen a fun, whimsical, family-oriented option for those in pursuit of a day of Pandora exploration.
