10 Reasons Why We Love Disney’s Polynesian Resort

3. Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto

One of the Polynesian’s more recent resort additions was the establishment of Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto. This uniquely themed lounge, named for that same notorious  “head” salesman you may have spotted in Disney’s Jungle Cruise attraction, offers visitors a one-of-a-kind drinking and dining experience full of whimsical island effects. You may witness different lights, sounds, and other stormy accompaniments in regards to what a guest chooses to order. Even entire families (with children) may experience the magical onsite island enchantments taking place here up until 8 p.m. in the evening (after which time only guests 21 years of age and older are permitted). Both indoor and outdoor seating is available, with a featured array of great eats and novel drink specialties to choose from. The Nautilus, Castaway Crush, Polynesian Pearl, Tahitian Torch, and the Dark and Tropical Stormy are just some examples.
