12 Fun and Quirky Souvenirs You Should Buy At Walt Disney World

11. Pining for pins

Disney-themed pins have always held a place on the list of beloved souvenirs, but their popularity skyrocketed with the emergence of Disney Pin Trading back in 1999 during the Walt Disney World Millennium Celebration. What exactly is Disney Pin Trading? It’s the act of buying and trading specialty Disney pins with cast members and other guests. Pin trading is open to all ages, making this interactive experience one that everyone can enjoy. As mentioned previously, you can even trade pins (a maximum of two per day) with specific cast members, who are onsite in the parks wearing lanyards that proudly display their available pins. Thousands of unique pins have been produced over the years, some more rare than others. One of the more exclusive lineups is the Hidden Mickey Collection, which was first introduced back in 2002 as the “Cast Lanyard pin” program. Whether you decide to trade pins or buy them for someone special, these mementos make fun keepsakes.
