8 Walt Disney World Resorts We Can’t Get Enough Of

8. Disney’s Art of Animation Resort

Disney’s newest addition to its line of Value Resorts, Art of Animation, challenges what you think you already know about Value Resort properties. In fact, the many refined features and amenities here have even earned it the distinction for being what’s considered a Value Plus Resort. Art of Animation follows a theme featuring four famed Disney classics—The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, Finding Nemo, and Cars with concept drawings adorning the main building and larger-than-life icons surrounding the resort. Each of the aforementioned animation themes are categorized by different buildings that are fashioned after each depiction. And unlike most other Value Resorts, this hotel features over a thousand family suites (themed after The Lion King, Cars, and Finding Nemo) as well as 864 standard rooms (done in the style of The Little Mermaid). But even the standard rooms bypass “standard” at a total of 277 square feet, which is slightly larger than other standard Value Resort rooms.

You’ll find a host of unique onsite activities and amenities, including three themed pools. And out of these pools the famed Big Blue Pool, which follows the Finding Nemo theme, currently stands as the largest of any Disney World Resort pool, at 308,527 gallons and totaling an area of 11,859 square feet. What’s more, the pool even has speakers underwater so you can listen to the sounds of the resort even while diving deep.

Another bragging point at the resort is its phenomenal food court. Landscape of Flavors dishes up some of the greatest varieties of distinct offerings, available at various serving stations. Vegetarian, gluten-free, and other dietary needs are all well accommodated. In addition to delightful dining selections, you will love the surrounding artistic décor, spacious setup, and the fact that you are dining on real plates using actual utensils.
