According to a Disney World Press release, “New this year, the nightly fireworks show will fully immerse guests in heartfelt Disney stories as brand-new projections extend down Main Street U.S.A., adding even more magic to this unforgettable spectacle.”

Main Street, U.S.A. projections have already been added to the nighttime spectaculars at Disneyland Park in Anaheim, California, such as “Wondrous Journeys.” But over at Magic Kingdom Park, outside of Orlando, Florida, the projections had only been limited to the facade of Cinderella Castle. Now it appears that is about to change.

Since Cinderella Castle is so much larger than Sleeping Beauty Castle, it makes sense that the Main Street projection were slow to cross the country, as the need for more projection space is greater in California. But it will no doubt be an extra magical addition. Beyond, the addition of the Main Street, U.S.A. projections, we have no reason to suspect that there will be any changes to the actual Tinker-Bell-topped Magic Kingdom fireworks show.

Originally appearing as the replacement for the beloved fireworks show, “Wishes: A Magical Gathering of Disney Dreams,” “Happily Ever After” returns to retake the Castle from “Disney Enchantment,” which ends with The Walt Disney World Resort’s 50th Anniversary Celebration. Disney Parks fans did not give the anniversary spectacular the best reception and received the news of “Happily Ever After”s return with cheers and open arms.

The nighttime spectacular “Happily Ever After” will make its return at the same time “EPCOT Forever” retires the 50th Anniversary Celebration Spectacular “Harmonious” and returns to World Showcase Lagoon before an entirely original permanent Disney World fireworks show is ready to debut.

We at Disney Fanatic will continue to update our readers on Disney Parks news and stories as more developments come to light.
