Disney’s new Magic Kingdom bar, Beak and Barrel, has already faced several technical challenges since its highly anticipated launch. Guests attempting to secure a reservation were recently affected by a “technical error” on Disney’s website.

Trouble at Magic Kingdom Bar
The main impact of this glitch was significant: around 50 reservations had to be canceled, according to reports. One guest shared the situation on X, describing how Disney’s guest services team handled the issue:
“So it appears that the reservation I made for Beak and Barrel this morning for Friday at 7pm was due to a ‘technical error’. The guest services team called me said about 50 reservations were made and had to be changed. Luckily I was able to grab one for 4:35pm and not get shut out completely. So now I’ll just show up to MK earlier than anticipated but not have to take up any time during the Halloween Party. Got lucky on that one.”

Beak and Barrel has drawn considerable attention since its announcement, becoming a must-visit spot for guests seeking themed drinks and immersive experiences. However, the bar’s online launch has been plagued with issues, including a complete website crash that forced Disney to reschedule the initial reservation date.
While the website error caused disruption, Disney’s guest services team reportedly acted quickly to help visitors rebook, demonstrating proactive customer service amid high demand. Still, many fans expressed frustration over the time spent in the online queue, a reminder of the challenges Disney faces with high-traffic website launches.

A Hot-Ticket Destination
Despite the hiccups, Beak and Barrel has solidified its status as a hot-ticket item at Magic Kingdom, especially during seasonal events like Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Guests are advised to double-check their reservations and reach out to guest services if they encounter any issues, as Disney has not provided further details on the cause of the website error.
