Main Street, U.S.A., at Magic Kingdom Park got a fresh layer of patriotic decoration this week. The new additions are a preview of the celebration Walt Disney World Resort has planned for July 4.
Golden Decals Join the Window Displays

WDWNT reported on June 22 that Walt Disney World Resort had added new elements to the already-decorated storefront windows along Main Street, U.S.A, at Magic Kingdom Park. The Emporium facade, which had been dressed in red, white, and blue patriotic displays earlier this month — complete with figures of Mickey and Minnie Mouse — now features golden “Disney Celebrates America” decals on the glass beneath those character images.
The addition ties the Main Street, U.S.A., window displays directly to The Walt Disney Company's broader national celebration of the United States' 250th anniversary.
What Is “Disney Celebrates America”?

“Disney Celebrates America” is The Walt Disney Company's umbrella event for the country's semiquincentennial, stretching across multiple platforms and properties. On the television side, ABC will air the two-hour Disney Celebrates America: The Pursuit of Happiness special on June 29, featuring 20/20 co-anchor Deborah Roberts reporting from Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and national correspondent Will Reeve at Disneyland Resort in California. From July 3 through July 4, Disney will expand that programming to 24 hours of United States history content across multiple platforms.
What's Coming to the Parks

The celebration extends well into the theme parks. Magic Kingdom Park will present a special fireworks show — “Disney's Celebrate America! – A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky” — on July 3, 4, and 5. At EPCOT, a special “Heartbeat of Freedom” show will follow the Luminous The Symphony of Us nighttime spectacular on those same three evenings.
Both Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort are also offering limited-time patriotic food, beverage, and merchandise items throughout the celebration, alongside the already-running Soarin' Across America attraction overlay at both parks.
