Thousands of Guests Have to Go Somewhere
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party takes place on select nights at Magic Kingdom, bringing special entertainment, trick-or-treating, characters, and other Halloween experiences to the park.
In 2026, party ticket holders can enter Magic Kingdom at 4 p.m. The event itself runs from 7 p.m. until midnight.
Regular Magic Kingdom admission doesn't include access.
As Disney prepares for the party, guests who don't have the necessary event admission eventually have to leave.
For families who arrived early, that may be enough Disney for one day.
But many visitors aren't going to be ready to head back to their hotel.
Instead, they'll look for another park.
EPCOT Could Get an Evening Crowd Boost
EPCOT is an obvious destination for those guests.
Rather than ending a park day early, eligible guests can hop over and spend the rest of their evening there.
That means EPCOT could receive an influx of visitors at the same time its existing daytime crowd is still enjoying the park.

You aren't necessarily escaping the Halloween Party crowds by avoiding Magic Kingdom.

Hollywood Studios Could See the Same Pattern
Disney’s Hollywood Studios is another natural destination.
Guests leaving Magic Kingdom could head there to enjoy attractions and finish out their night. At the same time, some families may have chosen Hollywood Studios from the beginning because they didn't want to use regular admission on a shortened Magic Kingdom day.
Those two groups can overlap.
That's why the crowd impact from Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party isn't limited to one moment in the evening.
Some guests will adjust their entire day because of the party.
Others will visit Magic Kingdom anyway and relocate later.
Both decisions can put additional pressure on EPCOT and Hollywood Studios.
