Another limited-time Walt Disney World offering is about to disappear from the calendar.
Families have spent the summer finding extra character experiences and activities through Cool KIDS’ SUMMER. But the celebration was never meant to last forever.

Disney confirms Cool KIDS’ SUMMER will officially end September 8, 2026.
That leaves only a few weeks for guests to experience everything Disney added for the summer celebration. It also means families with trips planned for later in September shouldn't expect to find the same lineup waiting for them.
One of the biggest losses will come at Magic Kingdom, where a Toy Story-themed experience is also preparing to leave.
Disney Put Families at the Center of Its Summer Plans
Cool KIDS’ SUMMER wasn't built around one new ride.
Instead, Disney used the celebration to add more family activities throughout Walt Disney World.
Character experiences played a major role. Disney advertised opportunities to dance, play, and spend time with familiar characters throughout the summer. Select Disney Resort hotels also joined the event with scheduled character appearances.
That gave families more options beyond racing from one major attraction to another.
The event also helped Disney package several new and updated experiences into one larger summer celebration.

At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney promoted Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live!, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets, and the updated Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run mission as part of its summer lineup.
Over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Bluey and Bingo became a major part of the family offerings through Bluey’s Wild World at Conservation Station.
But some of the seasonal experiences have much shorter lives.
Magic Kingdom Is Losing Jessie’s Roundup
Jessie’s Roundup: A Rip-Roarin’ Revue! Presented by Babybel became one of the signature pieces of Cool KIDS’ SUMMER at Magic Kingdom.
Disney turned the Diamond Horseshoe into a Toy Story-inspired hoedown where families could spend time with Jessie and enjoy dances and activities. Disney's official summer guide specifically promoted the Diamond Horseshoe experience as part of its Magic Kingdom lineup.

It also offered something families often appreciate during a long summer park day: air conditioning.
Instead of another outdoor experience, families could step inside, escape the heat, and give younger children something interactive to do.
That experience will soon be leaving.
Jessie’s Roundup is expected to close as Disney prepares to introduce a new dining experience at the Diamond Horseshoe.
So while some attractions promoted during Cool KIDS’ SUMMER will continue operating, this particular piece of the celebration isn't expected to remain.
Disney Hasn't Announced a 2027 Return
September 8 is now the date families need to remember.
Disney's own website confirms Cool KIDS’ SUMMER runs through that date and encourages guests to experience it before it ends.

What Disney hasn't done is announce another edition.
There is currently no confirmation that Cool KIDS’ SUMMER will return in 2027.
Of course, that could change. Disney has plenty of time to reveal another summer lineup before next year arrives.
But until Disney makes that announcement, families shouldn't count on getting another opportunity.
Disney World Is Moving Into Its Next Season
Cool KIDS’ SUMMER ending also comes as several other summer operations wrap up around Walt Disney World.
H2O Glow Nights at Typhoon Lagoon ends September 5. Typhoon Lagoon itself then begins a seasonal closure September 8, with Blizzard Beach remaining open.
Meanwhile, Disney is already preparing for what's next.

The Magic of Disney Animation is scheduled to open at Disney’s Hollywood Studios on September 14, less than a week after Cool KIDS’ SUMMER ends.
It's a reminder of how quickly things can change at Walt Disney World.
One experience ends, another begins, and the parks continue moving forward.
For families interested in Cool KIDS’ SUMMER, though, the message is simple: don't wait too long.
September 8 marks the end of the 2026 celebration, and Disney hasn't promised that it will be back next year.
