The largest, gibberish-speaking workforce has officially taken over Universal Studios in Orlando.
Gru’s rambunctious crew of minions have been hard at work with their mammoth-sized addition to the Despicable Me Minion Mayhem attraction. Sweeping the nation (and the box office) with fan-favorite films like Despicable Me (2010), Despicable Me 2 (2013), Minions (2015), Despicable Me 3 (2017), Yellow is the New Black (2018), and Minions: Rise of Gru (2022), the tiny yellow accomplices of Gru are getting their due at with a brand-new Universal Orlando Resort expansion.
Opening in Orlando this summer, Minion Land will take over Illumination Ave with wacky, witty attractions, shops, and dining areas for Guests to dive into. Situated at the front of the Park, Minion Land will feature a Minion Cafe, a sweet shop called Bake My Day, a prominent Minion Land marquee featuring a crew of 22 minions, and a highly-anticipated attraction called Villain-Con Minion Blast.
Minion fans can take their Despicable obsession even further at the Pop-A-Nana popcorn stand for banana-flavored popcorn or pop over to Freeze Ray Pops for exclusive minion character treats. In addition to the most villainous treats of all time, Minion Land will offer character meet-and-greets starring Gru, Margo, Edith, and Agnes at the Illuminations Theater.
While Universal’s new land shapes up to be a Minion paradise, @Bioreconstruct shared a first look at the premiere shop attached to the top-secret Villain-Con Minion Blast under construction.
Where to Buy ‘Evil Stuff’ at Universal
To become the world’s best villain, you need to start with some evil stuff. Thankfully, Minion Land is unleashing the hub for wannabe villains at its Evil Stuff Gift Shop.
Attached to the exit for the Villain-Con Minion Blast attraction, the Evil Stuff shop has quirky quips and mischievous minions from wall to wall. Although Universal hasn’t released details about the premiere attraction, @Bioreconstruct captured some sneak peeks into the store:

With a final glimpse at the attraction, @Bioreconstruct showed where the ride and store meet:

While the minions are buzzing and the banana popcorn is cooking, Universal has yet to let Guests behind the Villain-Con Minion Blast curtain. But with the Evil Stuff store’s progress, Guests can become honorary villains sooner than they think.
Disney Fanatic will continue sharing Minion Land updates as they come.
