Fired ABC Anchors “Fuming” As Exes Relationship Overshadows New Podcast

On December 5, former GMA3: What You Need to Know hosts, Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes, launched their new podcast, Amy and TJ. Their podcast is their first foray back into the media after being fired by ABC earlier this year. The two were put on leave in November after a relationship between the two became public. They were fired about two months later.

During the podcast’s premiere episode, Robach and Holmes spoke about the dark times they lived through after their relationship was made public. They were both married when their affair came to light, but the two said that they were both separated before they began dating.

Holmes said that his mother found out through the press and said that he and Robach were even threatened. Robach also admitted that she was afraid Holmes would harm himself after he texted her and referred to things in the past tense.

The former Good Morning America achors appeared excited to be able to tell their story and be open about their relationship today. However, they are now reportedly “fuming” because they are not the ones in the headlines — their exes are.

On the same day that their podcast premiered, news broke that Holmes and Robach’s exes — actor Andrew Shue and attorney Marilee Fiebig — are dating each other. The exes allegedly bonded over the traumatic experience of having their marriages implode in the public eye.

According to Page Six, that news has left Robach and Holmes “fuming.”

A source told us Robach is “livid” with both Page Six and ex-husband Shue after we broke the news that he and Fiebig have been dating for six months.

We’re told she “thinks her ex is trying to steal her thunder.”

“She’s convinced he did this to coincide with the debut of her podcast,” they said.

(A source said it would be unlike him to leak the story. “Andrew doesn’t steal the spotlight,” they said. “He’s so private. That’s not who he is.”)

“T.J. and Amy will have to address the story [about their exes dating] because they will still want to keep themselves in the news.”

Both Robach and Holmes have admitted that they did not handle their relationship well. They said that they should have made sure that people knew about their respective divorces before their relationship became public. They even said that they were “foolish” to think that they would have privacy.

Holmes and Fiebig finalized their divorce in December 2022, just weeks after his relationship with Robach became public. Robach and Shue finalized their divorce in March 2023.
