Where is Baby Yoda? The Child Goes Missing at Disney

Losing a child at Disney is a nightmare scenario for every parent. But what happens when you lose THE Child? Din Djarin, better known as the Mandalorian, recently felt the painful burden of missing his kid for the day at Galaxy’s Edge in California’s Disneyland Resort. But why did Baby Yoda go missing?

Baby Yoda, affectionately known as Grogu, disappeared from Disneyland’s Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge for some time, leaving the beloved character’s custodian to greet Park Guests alone. The adorable green alien sensation has captured the hearts of fans worldwide since his debut on the hit Disney+ series The Mandalorian. Those in attendance quickly noticed his absence.

Before Baby Yoda Goes Missing

The Mandalorian is a highly popular television show in the Star Wars universe, but don’t worry if you’re not familiar with Star Wars! At its core, the show follows the journey of a lone bounty hunter, the Mandalorian, as he navigates through a dangerous galaxy.

The adorable and enigmatic character called Baby Yoda (officially known as Grogu) makes the show stand out. Baby Yoda has single-handedly charmed viewers worldwide with his irresistible cuteness and loveable antics. Even if you’re not a Star Wars fan, the sheer appeal of Baby Yoda and the Mandalorian’s dynamic relationship makes the show an absolute delight.

Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland California is an immersive experience, even for those not particularly interested in Star Wars. This extraordinary themed land transports you to the galaxy’s outer reaches, where you can explore a bustling spaceport filled with awesome rides and unique experiences. You can also often find the Mandalorian here patrolling the area with Grogu at his side. Well, most of the time anyway.

Bounty Hunt for the Missing Child

Din Djarin has been seen lately without his loveable sidekick, greeting confused Guests alone. According to @Mando3Updates on Twitter, this is an extremely rare occurrence as the two are always supposed to be together.

Cleverly, the Mandalorian does have responses to Baby Yoda being gone when asked about it. He can be heard telling curious fans that Grogu is currently resting on the ship. In another scenario, Djarin explains that he’s on patrol and left the adorable alien in a safe place. It is quite strange, however, to see the two separated.

Whatever the excuse is, it is likely that Baby Yoda simply wasn’t working correctly for the day. Technology is a fickle thing, and it is not uncommon for animatronics to occasionally need some fine-tuning. Baby Yoda will likely return soon, but seeing that the Mandalorian has lines for his absence is interesting.

In the meantime, visitors to Disneyland’s Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge can still experience the magic of the galaxy far, far away, with the Mandalorian’s steadfast presence reminding them that the Force is always strong, even without the Child.
