Big news is on the horizon for Disney Parks fans!
The last few months have been a whirlwind. Disney has made many changes—some more positive than others. One of the biggest shockers was the Mouse House announcing major layoffs—7000 people large. These layoffs have been particularly relevant recently as Disney has begun making moves to fulfill them. However, on the other end of the spectrum, Disney also announced new character meet ‘n’ greets, released new trailers, and curated a whole host of exciting announcements for fans to enjoy.

Recently, Disney CEO Bob Iger and Disney Parks chairman Josh D’Amaro visited the Parisian Disney Park to continue their inspections of the Disney Parks and mark the 21st anniversary of the Disney Theme Park. The last time the Walt Disney Company CEO was in the Park was in 2018 to announce the current expansion and investment the Park is presently undergoing.
Amidst all this, there are now rumors that Disneyland Paris has big news for fans coming up.

Disney Fanatics can look forward to April 12, 2023, rumored to be a “big news day,” per Euro Disney Club communication, and will likely feature announcements from Disneyland Paris. This will be a continued update on the expansions announced in 2018 of Walt Disney Studios Park at the Disneyland Paris Resort, which would include the retheming of the Backlot into Avengers Campus, Arendelle: The World of Frozen, a Star Wars land, new gardens, and a lake.
However, the third land in Disneyland Paris is rumored to not be Star Wars themed, rather it’s looking to be themed around The Lion King.
The rumor, if true, will set Disneyland Paris apart from the other Disney Resorts giving it a fresh and unique attraction for Guests to enjoy and frequent. The international Disney Resort is already home to Hyperspace Mountain, and other fan-favorite rides and attractions. Many of these are also found in Central Florida’s Walt Disney World Resort and Southern California’s Disneyland Resort.
