Disney leaders Bob Iger and Josh D’Amaro chalked another Disney Resort visit off their list as the duo continue their hands-on inspection of the overall division.
After making crucial visits to the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California, and the Walt Disney World Resort outside Orlando, Florida, the returning CEO and Chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products visited Disneyland Paris Resort to take in the 30th Anniversary Celebration festivities at Parc Disneyland, as well as visit Walt Disney Studios Park on its 21st Anniversary.

Disneyland Paris Insider @DLPReport spotted the duo watching the day show “Dream… and Shine Brighter,” and touring both Parks with the President of Disneyland Paris Natacha Rafalski, Walt Disney Imagineering Paris President David Wilson, Disneyland Paris Entertainment Vice President David Duffy, and other VIPs.

Mme Rafalski reported the visit on her Instagram, saying, “This morning, we had the pleasure of welcoming Bob Iger to see the progress of our ambitious transformation, including the ongoing expansion of Walt Disney Studios Park which celebrates its 21st Anniversary today and the future of @DisneylandParis.”

She also mentioned the last time Iger visited the Park was in 2018 to announce The Walt Disney Company and Walt Disney Imagineering’s plans to invest even more resources into evolving what is considered by many to be Disney’s most beautiful Castle Park and Resort in the worldwide family. It was at that time when the expansion of its second gate featuring another Avengers Campus and a Frozen-themed land was announced.
Disney California Aventure Glow-Up 2.0?
When Iger first assumed the position of Disney CEO, he first turned his attention to fixing the original Disneyland Park’s second gate, Disney California Adventure. The Imagineering overhaul he greenlit produced some of the most beloved aspects found in any Disney Theme Park, such as Cars Land and World of Color. And since 2005, it seems that the Park has only gotten better with the retheme of Paradise Pier to Pixar Pier, the opening of Marvel’s Avengers Campus, and the upcoming unveiling of the Big Hero 6 retheme of The Wharf to San Fransokyo.
Now, as focus moves across the Pond to Coupvray, Mme Rafalski’s picture of Iger with the construction cranes gives the same sense of hope that the ambitious and exciting plans originally planned for Walt Disney Studios in the days before the covid lockdowns and the “Chapek-Era.” Along with its own Avengers Campus, Walt Disney Studios Park will eventually add its own Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and the World of Frozen.
The Disneyland Paris Resort is the only international Theme Park Resort in which The Walt Disney Company holds majority ownership, retaining only minority shares in Hong Kong Disneyland and Shanghai Disney Resort. Tokyo Disney Resort is completely owned and operated by the Oriental Land Company.
