Disney Parks are the perfect place to celebrate a milestone, especially an engagement. Whether it’s the Walt Disney World Resort or the Disneyland Resort, having the chance to mark a special moment with a loved one surrounded by all the magic in the air is a unique opportunity, and there’s no better place to do it than “The Happiest Place on Earth.” For many people, a proposal at Disneyland is the stuff of dreams. And it’s the same for Pitch Perfect star Rebel Wilson. The actress recently got engaged to her girlfriend, Ramona Agruma, and she even got special permission from Disney CEO Bob Iger to do it at the Disney Park.

42-year-old Wilson appeared on The Drew Barrymore Show, sharing the details behind the big engagement, “He’s the big, big boss, and I thought, ‘Well, if he says yes, then it was meant to be, and I was meant to propose that day at Disneyland.'” Wilson also added that Disneyland was, ‘”the most magical proposal place on Earth.”

Wilson shared that she had to get special permission to get a particular area roped off, get some topiary trees in, and get a violinist playing for the momentous occasion. She shared that the whole thing was “very romantic.” Show host Drew Barrymore was particularly impressed that Rebel Wilson asked Disney CEO Bob Iger for permission, commenting on how “he’s like the one,” stressing how Robert Iger was “the President of Disney” and even calling him “the puppetmaster.”
It’s not surprising that Wilson chose Disneyland as the place to pop the question. Any Disney Theme Park at Disneyland Resort (Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park) is known for its magic and romance, making it the perfect setting for an unforgettable proposal. Love is definitely in the air at Disneyland!
This episode of The Drew Barrymore Show will air on March 2, 2023.
