Nothing distracts a runner quite as well as a good playlist — especially if that playlist is being sung, in person, by their favorite boy band!
During this year’s Walt Disney World Resort runDisney Springtime Surprise weekend, EPCOT runners (i.e. runners who were running in the Disney Pixar Monsters 10K) were treated to a special surprise that not only combined a rare Character Meet and Greet with a boy band visit, but also served as said boy band’s official Disney Park debut!
Any runDisney event is always a popular one, even though these events involve running a 5K, 10K, or 10-mile run that can be grueling in Florida heat — and being greeted on the run by some brand-new Disney characters was the cherry on top of the event for the Disney Pixar Monsters 10K runners as some of the stars from the Pixar movie Turning Red made an appearance!

The five members of the Turning Red boy band called 4*Town appeared in the Canada Pavilion within the EPCOT World Showcase. This boy band was created as a significant plot point in the Pixar movie Turning Red; in the film, the main character Meilin Lee is obsessed with 4*Town and spends a large portion of the movie trying to see the band members perform.

The five members of 4*Town are Robaire, Aaron T, Aaron Z, Tae Young, and Jesse. Although Disney darling Jordan Fisher did voice one of the singers in the band for the film, he (sadly) did not appear in person as his character in EPCOT’s version of Canada.
The boy band didn’t just show up to look handsome and represent their Turning Red characters, however; they also sang the 4*Town song called “U Know What’s Up.”
Even though this boy band consists of fictional characters, the band became famous after Turning Red premiered on Disney+, and the band’s song “Nobody Like U” made it onto the Billboard Hot 100 list.
This is only the second time that a Turning Red entity has appeared in a Disney Park, with the first time being the appearance of Red Panda Mei in Shanghai Disneyland back in March!
