Social media has made it easier for onlookers worldwide to contact the people of Ukraine during the Russian invasion ordered by Vladimir Putin, but it has also made it easier to send them support from across the world — and several celebrities have taken to social media to share their support of one Ukrainian child in particular, a young girl who recently sang “Let It Go” in a Ukrainian bomb shelter.
Idina Menzel, the Broadway star and actress who voiced Elsa and sang the original song “Let It Go”, has already shared her support of the girl (whose name is Amelia) and her performance. Now, Idina’z Frozen co-star Josh Gad, who voices Olaf the snowman, has also joined in — and so has Caroline Bowman, who plays Elsa in Frozen on Broadway!
Josh Gad shared the video of the Ukrainian girl singing from the makeshift bunker and wrote the following on Twitter: “My heart is overwhelmed. These poor children. These poor people. I want to hug and protect this and every other child in danger right now and I feel helpless.”
Frozen writer and producer Jennifer Lee also responded to Josh Gad and the young Ukrainian girl singing, saying the following: “My heart aches. Praying for their safety”.

Caroline Bowman shared the video on Instagram as well, saying “We see you baby!” and adding two blue heart emojis, presumably to represent part of the Ukrainian flag.
Caroline Bowman has been playing Elsa on Broadway since 2019 and receiving rave reviews for her performance, particularly for her renditions of the famous Frozen power ballad “Let It Go” that Amelia is singing and that Elsa sings in her ice palace.
The video of Amelia singing a magical Disney song about hope from within a Ukrainian bomb shelter has moved many people emotionally, not just celebrities, and there was apparently silence in the bunker (along with many tears) while she sang the Disney princess song.
Although many people have been affected by the Russian invasion into Ukraine, support for children has been particularly crucial, and many celebrities are endeavoring to do their part (such as Ashton Kutcher and his wife, Ukrainian actress Mila Kunis, who are raising millions of dollars to support Ukrainians through GoFundMe).
