Disney Fanatics have been on edge in recent months, since many announcements from the Walt Disney Company (including announcements at the recent D23 Expo in Anaheim, California) have led to divided opinions among the Disney-loving community. Many Disney Park Guests have had to bear the brunt of unexpected Disney Park ride closures — or worse, Disney Resort ride closures that have been extended longer than expected with no reopening dates in sight.
One classic Disney ride, “it’s a small world”, is apparently about to join the ranks of closed Disney rides — but hopefully with a solid reopening date! Disney has announced that the Disneyland Resort version of the ride is going to be closed for about three weeks this autumn.
According to the Disneyland Resort website, “‘it’s a small world’ will be closed for refurbishment from October 24, to November 10, 2022, and will reopen on November 11, 2022, as “it’s a small world” Holiday during [the] Holidays at the Disneyland Resort.”
If you’re a Disneyland Guest who is about to visit Disneyland Resort and the Disneyland Parks between now and the end of October, it looks like you will still get to enjoy the slow-moving Disney ride! If you’re visiting on or after October 24, then you will be out of luck in the “small world” department.
Since the holiday season is on its way (and as we know, Disney never fails to prepare for Disney Park holiday festivities well in advance), it does seem likely that the November 11 reopening date is going to be one that Disneyland Resort sticks to for “it’s a small world” — but since rides like Expedition Everest: Legend of the Forbidden Mountain have experienced extended closures, leading to disappointed Disney Guests, some Disney Fanatics will still be worried until the classic ride is officially reopened.
“it’s a small world” has been a popular topic among Disney Fanatics lately, since Disney Guests have been misbehaving on the popular ride and some of the Disney ride’s dolls have gone missing! When was the last time that you went on “it’s a small world”? Do you think that Disneyland will stay true to its word and reopen the ride before the holidays really kick off in Disneyland this year?
