Although some classic Disney Park rides like Splash Mountain are falling into disrepair as their permanent closing dates approach, other Disney rides are experiencing malfunctions and comical or underwhelming glitches even though they are meant to be Disney vacation staples — and now one particularly iconic Disney ride seems to be losing its animatronics!
These days, TikTok users and Instagram influencers have been irritating their fellow Disney Guests during their visits more often than not lately — but these social media aficionados do still find some amusing or informative footage from the Disney Parks and Disney rides, even if they are irritating other Disney Guests.
We already saw the ‘it’s a small world’ hula girls malfunctioning in October of last year (as shown in the TikTok video below), but now social media users in the Disney Parks have revealed that the amount of hula girls on the Disney ride is drastically diminishing. Some Magic Kingdom Guests have been joking that these hula girls, whose numbers are becoming fewer and fewer, are being culled from the herd (so to speak).
@kaitkillebrew Why is this so funny to me? #ohnoourtableitsbroken #disneylandia #disneydaily #disneyfypシ #disneysideoftiktok #itsasmallworldafterall #disneytok #disneycreators #distokfam
Fortunately, Disney fans and Magic Kingdom Guests are choosing to approach the decreasing quantity of “it’s a small world” hula girls with humor rather than disappointment (which is a rare occurrence these days, since Disney discontent is on the rise). Once footage of the lone remaining hula girl was shared on Twitter, plenty of funny comments or jokes ensued!

Another Twitter user chose to make a humorous guess that the one remaining “it’s a small world” hula girl had disposed of her companions. “It’s A Scary Small World. Dolls disappear and reappear through the ride. Don’t look behind you. Those hula dancers can be vicious,” the Disney fan wrote. This comment is certainly an eerie reminder of the infamous “it’s a small world” doll attack from this entertaining Disney series!
