Halloween is an extra-special time at Disneyland and Walt Disney World Theme Parks, if not for anything but the opportunity for extra-special character sightings, experiences, and meet and greets–particularly involving the Disney Villains.
Noticeably lacking in their permanent presence in the Parks, Halloween–more specifically, the extra-ticket Halloween parties like Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Oogie Boogie Bash–are the time for Villains to come out to play. The evil entourage includes Maleficent, Lady Tremaine, the Sanderson Sisters, and Ernesto de la Cruz!
Yes, the mariachi antagonist from Pixar Animation Studios’ film Coco made an appearance for Disney’s Oogie Boogie Bash at the Disneyland Resort in California to sing his most beloved (stolen) single, “Remember Me.”
Theme Park insider, Scott Gustin, shared a video of Ernesto’s performance on Twitter.
Check it out:
Wow. The Ernesto De La Cruz meet 'n greet at #OogieBoogieBash looks amazing. pic.twitter.com/EwaFx1jUWL

Unlike the Coco show at EPCOT, which incorporated an elaborate puppet show, Ernesto de la Cruz appears in full human size with his white guitar.
For those who want to sing along with the video, here are the lyrics to “Remember Me”:
Remember meThough I have to say goodbye Remember me Don’t let it make you cry For even if I’m far away I hold you in my heart I sing a secret song to you Each night we are apart Remember me Though I have to travel far Remember me Each time you hear a sad guitar Know that I’m with you The only way that I can be Until you’re in my arms again Remember me
