The Disneyland Oogie Boogie Bash is almost here, just in time for autumn’s arrival — and this year, one of the most-talked about new Disney characters from 2021 is going to be gracing Oogie Boogie Bash visitors with his presence! Bruno, the villain (of sorts) from Encanto, is joining the Oogie Boogie Bash lineup!

Bruno was the misunderstood villain from Encanto, the uncle of Mirabel Madrigal who mysteriously disappeared and who possessed the ability to predict the future. Bruno was voiced by comedian John Leguizamo, who was nominated for an Annie Award for his voiceover performance.

However, it was not Bruno’s endearing awkwardness or his storyline that made him so popular with fans: it was the song about him, “We Don’t Talk About Bruno“, that broke the Internet.

“We Don’t Talk About Bruno” broke multiple Disney records — including records that had been held by classic Disney songs and more modern hits like “Let It Go” — and there have been rumors that the Encanto Disney Park ride could be a dark ride about the song.

Bruno will most likely stay mum on this subject if you’re lucky enough to meet him at this year’s Oogie Boogie Bash in Disneyland, but his appearance will still be a big deal for the Encanto fans who know his song by heart!

Disney fanatics have been all abuzz with the potential news about Bruno’s appearance during the Halloween event. One Twitter user stated that “multiple costuming & entertainment CMs [which means Cast Members] confirmed” the Encanto villain’s appearance.

Fans have reacted with joy and excitement ever since hearing the potential news, and we can’t wait to see Bruno in person at the Oogie Boogie Bash! Are you going to be there? How many “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” jokes do you expect to hear during the Character Meet and Greet?
