There appears to have been yet another altercation among Guests at the Most Magical Place On Earth. But, this time, on March 2 at EPCOT, it ends with a Guest going to the hospital: an older woman.
First reported by Inside the Magic, the source identified as Jennifer K said the following:
“We were looking at the flower and garden kiosk in front of the American pavilion walkway and a man pushed between my son and another woman…The two of them collided and they both rolled over each other.”
Jennifer went on to say that the woman’s phone flew out of her hands, and she hit her head hard on the pavement. The man who caused in the accident is reported to have just gotten back up and kept walking, leaving the older woman on the ground motionless.
Others in the immediate vicinity were reported to have called for medical attention, and Jennifer confirmed with a Cast Member that the woman was taken to the hospital and was in stable condition.
Walt Disney World’s theme parks have been noticeably busy and look to be even more so as Spring Break 2022 goes into full effect. Increased crowds combined with the increased need for Guests to be on their cell phones for mobile ordering and to check Disney Genie and Lightning Lane availability can result in even more unfortunate collisions like the one reported here.
“So many people are on their phones between Genie+, mobile ordering,” Jennifer added. “It scares me for the future of the Park as more and more things become reliant on mobile apps.”
All incoming Guests should be aware that Cast Members and Security personnel are always patrolling the Parks and are prepared to respond appropriately to any alternating situations like the one mentioned in this article. Never hesitate to reach out for Cast Members, Security, or Guest Relations.
