The popular Disney princess Moana is getting her own ride, Journey to Water, and journalists have been given a special preview of the Moana ride’s features ahead of the upcoming D23 Expo in Anaheim, California. Journalist Ashley Carter has shared that one particular highlight from the new ride will be Te Fiti, the Polynesian goddess whose heart was restored by Moana — and this version of Te Fiti will be far more sizable than your television screen!

“The Journey of Water Inspired by Moana attraction coming to EPCOT will feature a 16-foot tall Te Feti,” journalist Ashley Carter wrote in this Tweet. Carter also shared photos explaining how the model of Te Fiti is being created, and how the Journey of Water Inspired by Moana is going to operate.

“Journey of Water will immerse guests in a lush environment where the story of our global cycle of water is brought to life,” one exhibit plaque says in the photos. “As guests explore the outdoor trail, they will be invited to play and interact with water as it travels from our skies , to our oceans and back again”.

According to another plaque, “Te Fiti represents life and the balance of nature. She will be seen projecting water as it voyages around the water cycle.” Since the wasting of water is a huge problem in the world, and is expected to lead to an enormous water shortage soon, Journey of Water is no doubt meant to help people become more aware of the ways that they should be conserving water in their everyday lives.
Are you excited for this new Moana ride, which will be located in EPCOT and will be reminiscent of Living with the Land (except with a particularly vibrant tropical landscape, and of course a gorgeous giant replica of the Polynesian goddess Te Fiti)?
