Disney Adult Fakes Medical Emergency After Park Runs Out of Food Item

A bizarre reported incident at a Disney park has sparked a mix of disbelief and amusement after a TikTok user shared a story about a Disney adult allegedly faking a seizure when her food of choice ran out. The comment, which was posted in response to a TikTok discussing “unhinged things” guests have seen at Disney, quickly gained traction and raised eyebrows about the lengths some people will go to when their expectations aren't met at the park.

A Dramatic Response

The comment, shared by an anonymous user, recounts the strange moment, writing:

“A Disney adult faked having a seizure because they ran out of the food she wanted 💀 sh*t was so funny I couldn’t help but laugh.”

The post, which describes the chaotic scene, was met with a mix of reactions, with some finding the situation humorous and others expressing concern over the seriousness of such actions.

According to the comment, the incident occurred when a guest, described as a “Disney adult”—a term often used to refer to older Disney enthusiasts who enjoy the park experience without children—became upset after discovering that the food item she was hoping to purchase had run out. In a highly dramatic turn of events, the guest allegedly faked a seizure in front of Disney staff and other park-goers in an attempt to get attention or force a resolution to the issue. The commenter admitted that they found the scene “so funny,” though they also expressed disbelief at how far the individual had gone to gain sympathy.

Bad Guest Behavior, Once Again

This type of behavior, while extreme, is not entirely new when it comes to theme parks. There have been previous reports of guests acting out in dramatic ways when things don't go as planned, especially in high-stress situations involving long lines, crowded environments, or, in this case, food shortages. While it’s not clear whether the individual involved in this specific incident had any prior medical conditions, faking a medical emergency is never a responsible or acceptable response to a service issue.

Disneyland and Walt Disney World staff are trained to handle a variety of situations, from medical emergencies to guest complaints, with professionalism and care. However, faking a seizure or any other medical condition is a serious offense and could potentially take away valuable resources from those who truly need assistance. Moreover, the emotional and psychological toll that such actions can have on bystanders should not be underestimated.

Although the comment about this incident was meant to be humorous, it also raises concerns about the behaviors some visitors display when their expectations are not met at the park. For many Disney fans, the park is a place of magic, joy, and nostalgia, but for others, the intense pressure to get everything just right can sometimes lead to frustration and outbursts.

While some may view the incident as a funny or absurd moment in a theme park full of surprises, it serves as a reminder of how people sometimes overreact to situations that are, in the grand scheme of things, relatively minor. Guests are encouraged to approach their park visits with patience and understanding, especially when dealing with minor inconveniences such as food shortages, long lines, or even the occasional attraction malfunction.

A Response from Disney?

Disney has not officially commented on this incident, and it’s unclear whether the individual involved faced any consequences for their actions. However, the story has certainly resonated with many park-goers who have witnessed or heard about similar over-the-top behavior during their visits.

As for the comment section on TikTok, many users had mixed reactions. While some found humor in the situation, others expressed concern over the potential consequences of faking a medical emergency in such a public setting.

In the end, the incident serves as a reminder that, while Disney parks are known for their fun and magical atmosphere, visitors’ behavior can sometimes create situations that are far from the joyful experience they expect. With theme park visits becoming increasingly crowded and stressful, it’s essential for guests to manage their expectations and interact respectfully with staff and fellow park-goers to ensure everyone can enjoy the magic that Disney strives to create.

One Comment

  1. First: NOT FUNNY. Medical emergencies are real, and faking one for attention should result in being removed from the park for the rest of the day. That took responders away from availability for a REAL emergency.
Second: I may be a Disney adult, as I’m over 60 and go (usually solo) without children. I love DL, and being able to go when I want, now that I’m retired, is a joy. I don’t make Disney my entire personality, however. This person is not a Disney adult. They are simply a self-absorbed (insert insult here) who had a temper tantrum because something they wanted wasn’t available.
