Disney Announces Fall Disturbance at Resort, Here’s What To Know

Disney’s All-Star Music Resort, known for its toe-tapping celebration of musical genres and family-friendly appeal, is preparing for a bit of a makeover—but not in the way you might expect.

Beginning August 4, 2025, Maestro Mickey’s, the resort’s main merchandise location, will undergo a phased refurbishment. Guests planning visits during this time should be aware that construction will be present, though the shop will remain open throughout the process. As stated on the official Walt Disney World Resort website: “Guests may see and hear construction in the area until the work is complete,” projected for mid-October 2025.

It’s not unusual for Disney to schedule enhancements and alert guests ahead of time. While some refurbishments at Walt Disney World are expansive, this one is more contained, affecting just a single, though frequently visited, area of the hotel.

Part of Disney’s Value Resort collection, the All-Star Music Resort is a standout among its sister properties—Disney’s All-Star Movies and Disney’s All-Star Sports Resorts. Guests are welcomed into a world that pays tribute to classic musical styles, with whimsical décor that celebrates jazz, rock, calypso, country, and Broadway.

Positioned in the Animal Kingdom Resort Area, All-Star Music is known for its colorful buildings and high-energy design. It’s also one of the few Value Resorts to offer family suites, which come equipped with kitchenettes and two bathrooms—perfect for larger families or travel groups seeking more flexibility without stepping up to a Moderate or Deluxe category.

The resort features two themed pools, a well-loved Intermission Food Court, and the Singing Spirits Pool Bar. Families can enjoy Movies Under the Stars, a playground, and the convenience of being on Disney property. While the resort relies on the Disney bus system and tends to be lively during school breaks and holidays, its accessible price point keeps it popular year after year.

Guests hoping to pick up souvenirs at Maestro Mickey’s may want to keep the construction schedule in mind. Though the shop remains operational, the presence of workers and potential noise may influence shopping plans.

So whether you’re returning for a stay filled with musical flair or checking in for the first time, know that even amid updates, the All-Star Music Resort continues to strike a joyful chord with Disney guests.

When he’s not thinking about the Magic Kingdom, Thomas is usually reading a book, becoming desperately obsessed with fictional characters, or baking something delicious (his favorite is chocolate cake -- to bake and to eat). He's a dreamer and grew up on Mulan saving the world, Jim Hawkins soaring through the stars, and Padmé Amidala fighting a Nexu. At the Parks, he loves to ride Everest, stroll down Main Street with an overstuffed pin lanyard around his neck, and eat as many Mickey-shaped ice creams as possible. His favorite character is Han Solo (yes, he did shoot first), and his favorite TV show is Buffy the Vampire Slayer except when it's One Tree Hill. He loves sandy beach walks, forest hikes, and foodie days out in the Big City. Thomas lives in England, UK, with his fiancée, baby, and their dog, a Border Collie called Luna.
