The construction footprint in the Germany World Showcase Pavilion at EPCOT has expanded significantly since the first barriers appeared last month. Here's what Walt Disney World Resort guests need to know.
More Equipment, More Coverage

On Thursday, WDWNT reported that the construction zone around the Stein Haus entrance in the Germany World Showcase Pavilion has grown noticeably since the initial rolling planters and scrim-covered scaffolding appeared in late June.
Disney cast members have adjusted the rolling planters to block a larger portion of the walkway, and additional scrim-covered scaffolding now conceals the second-floor balcony, the faux stairs, and the “Stein Haus” sign itself. A stationary plant in a black pot has been added to fill a gap between the rolling planters, construction walls, and scaffolding, and the temporary barriers have begun to encroach on the landscaped garden area nearby.

Walt Disney World Resort has not issued any statement about the project, which is consistent with how the resort handles cosmetic refurbishments that don't force attraction closures or significantly disrupt the theme park guest experience.
The Shop Is Still Accessible

Despite the growing construction presence around its main entrance, Stein Haus remains open. Guests can still access the Germany Pavilion merchandise location — which sells Germany-themed Disney goods, imported products, and the beer steins that give the shop its name — through the alternate “Weinkeller” doorway. The construction activity is limited to the exterior of the building and the surrounding walkway, leaving the shop's interior and inventory unaffected.
The Walt Disney World Resort website and the My Disney Experience app are the most reliable sources for the latest operating information during your EPCOT visit.
