Any Disney Fanatic can attest to the fact that one of the best parts of the Disney Parks experience is meeting your favorite characters and immersing yourself in their world. From wholesome interactions with toddlers to some more humorous ones with Disney Adults, we’ve seen a large range of experiences of fans interacting with characters; both at the Walt Disney World Resort (with its four Parks, Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood Studios) in Central Florida and at Disneyland Resort (with Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park) in Southern California, there’s a lot that Guests can enjoy while at a Disney Resort.

Over the years, the Disney character meets ‘n’ greets have become one of the most sought-after parts of the Disney experience. These are popular enough that Disney is always announcing new character meets for fans to enjoy. Most recently, we found out fans would be able to meet Indiana Jones at a Disney Park very soon! Prior to that, we also found out about a new meet ‘n’ greet coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios Theme Park.

But today’s story is about a surprising meet ‘n’ greet. Donald Duck met one of his biggest fans, and it’s an unlikely Guest: a service dog for people on the autistic spectrum.

In the video, we see Nala, an autism service dog meeting her hero, Donald Duck, and the character is blown away by how genuinely touching the moment is. Nala snuggles up against Donald Duck and the Cast Member playing the beloved duck, even signs that they’re crying (undoubtedly happy tears). After a long cuddle with Donald, Nala sat upright with a radiant smile, melting our hearts.

Fans were moved by the video. One shared, “That dog is in her safe space with Donald Duck, 🥰 she’s so happy.”

Another added, “Not the CM signing “I’m crying” – I just know they were in shambles behind that mask.”

While this isn’t necessarily what one might picture when hearing about a character meet ‘n’ greet, it’s what makes it so special to witness; Disney is well and truly for anyone.
