Disney Demystified- When to Go, Where to Stay, What to Do at Disney World Resort

Castle Entrance

3. When to Go

There are many factors to consider before booking your trip to Disney. The most important aspect to be mindful of is the timing. During major holidays and any time school’s out, it’s no surprise that people flock to Walt Disney World to enjoy their time off and celebrate. If you want to bypass the crowds and save money, it’s best to avoid peak season. Also note the weekly trends here. Weekends are typically crowded, while weekdays (Sunday through Wednesday) are a bit quieter. The weather, crowd patterns, resort rates, and park hours should be taken into consideration before booking your stay.

The best times to visit Disney World are typically mid-January through the beginning of February, April through late May, and the beginning of September through early December. During these times, the weather is mild and the crowds are minimal compared to peak season. Disney hosts a variety of special events and parties each year like Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party in the fall, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party in the winter, and Epcot’s International Flower & Garden Festival in the springtime, just to name a few.
