One of the things that can make a Walt Disney World vacation truly magical is the hard-working Cast Members. Cast Members keep the Parks clean, keep the attractions running, and make memories for Guests that will last a lifetime. Unfortunately, Cast Members do not always get the respect that they deserve. Some Guests think that they deserve special treatment or that Cast Members should break the rules to help them out. One of those Guests recently went viral, and now the Disney community is standing behind the Cast Member.
A few days ago, an Instagrammer went viral for calling out a Cast Member’s behavior. The Guest was livid because the Cast Member refused to let her and her friend into Disney’s Hollywood Studios an hour before Park Hopping was allowed. The Guest had a reservation at Woody’s Roundup BBQ –which is in Toy Story Land — before she would be allowed in the Park. Based on her own words, the Guest — who visits the Parks frequently — knew that she would not be allowed in the Park, but thought a Cast Member would bend the rules.
The Cast Member — who the Guest identified as Christian — was accused of yelling at the Guest. However, many on social media did not stand behind the Guest. They accused her of being entitled and throwing a temper tantrum when she didn’t get her way. Disney fans are now flooding social media with praise for Christian and telling others to stand behind him.

One user — Maxwell Haddad — joked that they were going to open an Etsy shop to sell t-shirts to show their support of Christian.

Others encouraged fans to go onto the My Disney Experience app and leave a Cast Compliment for Christian.

That idea caught on and many Twitter users shared that they had given a Cast Compliment. Cast Compliments let Disney know how much Guests love a certain Cast Member and what that Cast Member did to make their time in the Parks special.

It is important to remember that, if you are visiting the Parks, Cast Members can’t just break the rules because you want them to. Disney’s Park Hopping restrictions have been in place for years. Guests are not allowed to hop from one theme park to another before 2 p.m. every day. That was a rule that was put in place when the theme parks opened right after their COVID closures.
Cast Members have to follow the rules set in place by Disney. While they might be able to give Guests an extra Lightning Lane, or free ice cream, they are not allowed to let Guests into the Parks before they are allowed. Getting mad at a Cast Member because they won’t risk their job is not something you’ll find much support for amongst Disney fans.
