The power at be finally caved. After struggling for months to fill the staterooms on the Halcyon, Disney World’s ultra-immersive hotel experience, Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, is now available at a discount. At least for Disney Vacation Club (DVC) members.
An email announcing a 30% discount was sent out to Disney Vacation Club members, and Disney Fanatic has acquired a copy of it.
On the surface, the special discount states the following:
Step into your own epic Star Wars story and enjoy 30% off original Points Chart values on select 2-night Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser adventures! Eligible Disney Vacation Club® Members can book with Points or a combination of Points and cash*. Terms Apply**.

DVC further elaborates, clarifying that this discount is part of “Membership Extras,” which are “subject to change, availability, or termination without notice.” A $95 nonrefundable transaction fee applies per reservation and must be paid within 72 hours of booking completion. DVC points must be used to pay for at least one DVC Member.

This is the first time ever that Disney has offered a discount of any kind on Star Wars hotel, and something tells this reporter that it will not be the last.
The Walt Disney World Resort describes Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser on its website, in part, as the following:
