It’s release after release from Disney! The Mouse House has been in the news for its recent Peter Pan & Wendy trailer release and the subsequent backlash it has faced because of it, a follow-up to the backlash that the Walt Disney Company has been facing for “pandering to woke ideals.” But that’s not all fans are getting from the Mouse House right now! Disney has also released its first poster for the upcoming feature remake of Haunted Mansion, and today, March 2, 2023, they released the first teaser trailer for the movie.
Disney shared the trailer through the movie’s official Twitter handle. In it, we see Chase Dillon, Rosario Dawson, Danny DeVito, Owen Wilson, and LaKeith Stanfield introduce the film, and so far, we’ve high hopes! The trailer takes us through the house, giving each character their chance to shine and some peak comedic moments from the cast.

Fans were thrilled at the Haunted Mansion teaser trailer, noting how incredible the movie looked. One said, “This looks so good. Now THIS, is more like it disney!” Many also noted that iconic Winona Ryder wasn’t in the trailer, joking, “me trying to figure out if winona is the bride.”

Some fans also noted how the movie took a different turn than they expected, with some expecting a comedy while others were surprised at how dark it turned out. Regardless, fans were unanimous that they were looking forward to checking the feature out. Disney also shared the new poster for the film:

The Haunted Mansion movie is a remake of the 2003 movie of the same name starring Eddie Murphy. This version is directed by Justin Simien (Dear White People, Bad Hair) and features a star-studded cast that includes Jamie Lee Curtis, as Madame Leota, and Jared Leto as the Hatbox Ghost, as we found out last year. It will also see appearances from Hasan Minhaj, Winona Ryder, and Dan Levy.
Disney’s Haunted Mansion is inspired by the Haunted Mansion attraction that is in both Walt Disney World Resort in the Magic Kingdom as well as Disneyland Resort in Disneyland Park.
Foolish Mortals, this movie looks to certainly be worth the wait!
