Disney has been announcing lots of changes in recent months, with updated rides, restaurants, a new Star Wars hotel, and Guest services like Disney Genie or Genie+. Now, there’s been another update: the plans for a new “multi-year remodel project” that will start in 2022 have been released! The Euro Disney Resort called Disneyland Paris Resort is getting a unique Disney Village, with “new dining venues, shops with complementary brands, entertainment, and an overall new visual identity”.
Disneyland Paris shared the news and the concept art for this Disney Village, which will be like the town center of Disneyland Paris, on Twitter. Take a look at the teaser images for this Disney Park remodel project and 428,000-square-foot complex below!

The first portion of the Disneyland Paris Resort Disney Village to open will be Rosalie, “a 500-seater venue” that will replace Café Mickey. This new restaurant and brasserie will not just be one dining establishment: the Café Mickey replacement will actually include a sports bar, a takeaway bakery, a luxurious terrace for Disneyland Paris Guests, and a beautiful view of Lake Disney from the center of the Disney village marketplace!
The food that is being served in the French brasserie will be, predictably, “contemporary French cuisine”. Rosalie is the result of a Disneyland Paris collaboration with Groupe Bertrand, which is a Parisian business that already has an impressive “portfolio of renowned Parisian brasseries”.

“As we continue to collaborate with exceptional brands that we share strong values with, we are delighted to welcome a new restaurant managed by Groupe Bertrand as a first step in our Disney Village transformation plan,” said Laure Albouy, the Vice President of Business Strategy & Integration for Disneyland Paris Resort.”We believe this unique, family-friendly restaurant will elevate the Guest experience at our Resort by offering famous French specialties in a unique setting, and we can’t wait to make this new partnership a reality.”
The Disney Parks Blog also shared more details about the upcoming renovations, which will last for several years and result in “timeless, family-friendly environments that are uniquely Disney”.
According to the blog post, this Disney Village expansion will result in “a relaxing lakeside park and boardwalk, enhanced pedestrian walkways, brand-new facades [for buildings], relaxing terraces and patios, and lush landscaping” as well as plenty of “diverse eateries” like the Groupe Bertrand Rosalie restaurant and lots of shopping opportunities for any Disney store fans!
“Our plan to transform Disney Village is yet another example of how we continue to reimagine Disneyland Paris at the Resort level, notably with our major expansion plan in progress at Walt Disney Studios Park,” the Présidente of Disneyland Paris, Natacha Rafalski, said. “We’re very excited to bring new iconic and timeless concepts to the district that will appeal to a new generation of Guests, whether they visit from our nearby Resort hotels or from the local area. We can’t wait for our Guests to be surprised and delighted by what we have in store.”
