Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is set to take over Splash Mountain by 2024. At the recent D23 Expo in Anaheim, Southern California, the company even revealed some 3-D concept models for the upcoming attraction.
What has disappointed fans in the last days of the ride is the lack of maintenance they have observed for the attraction, as well as the constant breakdowns and malfunctions that have begun to characterize the experience of the longstanding fan favorite.
And now, yet another fan has taken to social media to share another less-than-stellar experience of the Splash Mountain ride.
Disney Guest and TikTok user Mike Molinari (@mikemolinari) took to the platform to share a video of his time at Splash Mountain.
Check it out:
@mikemolinari Yes its true, our log had so much water the ride shut down after 😅 #splashmountain #splashmountainpov #disrespected #soaked #distok #disneyadults #disney #disneyland #wateride #fyp #disneyadult #disneyparks #disneyattractions #foryou #tidalwave #wave #distokfam #disneyforyou #disneycontent #saturated #justkeepswimming #d23 #d23expo
As viewers can note in the video, the Guests go down the hill, following which a massive amount of water splashes over the log, leaving them soaked. When a log fills with too much water, it can eventually sink, making it dangerous for riders. The ride had to come to a stop and be shut down because of the log’s malfunction.
This is just one of many instances where Splash Mountain has not functioned as supposed to. Even over at the Magic Kingdom, at the Walt Disney World Resort, the ride is reportedly in a depressingly sorry state.
